Kelab Golf Sarawak, or more fondly known as “KGS” among the local community is located approximately 8 kilometers from the city center of Sarawak capital city, Kuching.

KGS began its operations in 1985 with the opening of its first 18-hole Matang/Santubong, and later in 1989 added the second 18-home Siol/Demak to make KGS the lone 36-hole golf club in the “Land of Hornbills”.

Kuching is the state capital of Sarawak. Kuching is also known as “Cat City” because Kuching means Cat in Malay.

Kuching is a unique place, there is no doubt. It is home to Malays, Chinese & 27 ethnic groups . Even after screening out the superlatives in the tourists brochures it still sounds like a fairyland.

From the first views of the wild-looking reverie delta areas between the city and the coast, visitors are sometimes so impressed they never leave. You can imagine the crocodiles lurking below.
